PCAB® Accreditation

Not all compounding pharmacies are the same. Did you know we are the only accredited compounding pharmacy in Kendall County? While all pharmacies must meet licensure requirements, PCAB (Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board) allows pharmacies to distinguish themselves as a high-quality pharmacy, committed to the highest compounding standards. PCAB accredited pharmacies have gone the extra mile to demonstrate that they comply with nationally accepted quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement standards. By choosing a compounding pharmacy that has achieved PCAB Accreditation, you can be assured that you are in good hands. In order to demonstrate compliance with PCAB standards and earn PCAB accreditation, pharmacies must go through an extensive on-site evaluation by a PCAB surveyor.

This evaluation included:

An assessment of our system for assuring and maintaining staff competency.

A review of our facility, equipment, records and procedures required to prepare quality compounded medications.

Verification that the ingredients we use come from an FDA registered and or licensed sources.

Verification we routinely send our compounds off to a third-party facility for potency testing.

But wait it doesn’t stop there! Every 3 years after the original accreditation date, PCAB sends out a surveyor for another on-site evaluation. On top of that, each year we must send off a full report of our practices to the PCAB review team to ensure we are continuing to meet their high standards.

With this in mind, you can trust that you are getting the best quality possible form your PCAB accredited pharmacy.
